Why Bankruptcy isn’t always the worst option

The stigma of bankruptcy is no longer the issue that it was before the introduction of the Insolvency Act 1986 but we still meet many debtor's who's prime objective in coming to see us for advise is to avoid bankruptcy. This attitude is based on a misunderstanding of the process, the consequences and the restrictions that flow from bankruptcy.

The purpose of this seminar is to discuss the options available to the individual debtor including time to pay arrangements, debt management programmes, voluntary arrangements and bankruptcy and to demonstrate that bankruptcy is often not the worse option and may even be the 'least bad' method for a individual to resolve personal debt problems.

The seminar should be attended by accountants, solicitors, bankers and other professionals that advise in any situation that may involve personal debt.

The seminar will be held at our office at 264 Banbury Road on Tuesday 23rd November from 08:15-10:00, to reserve your free place please contact Jemma Risk on 01865 292291 or email jemma.risk@shawgibbs.com
