Oxfordshire Business Awards 2012

Shaw Gibbs are proud to confirm their continued support of the Oxfordshire Business Awards for the fourth successive year. This is a key annual event in the Oxfordshire business calendar and is open to organisations across all sectors, located within the county of Oxfordshire that have local management autonomy.

Continuing the successful format from 2011, the Shaw Gibbs Business Person of the Year Award will once again be split into two categories, Business Person of the Year and Young Business Person of the Year. Individuals who have delivered significant financial and non-financial benefits to their organisation are encouraged to apply. The Young Business Person of the Year award is open to those who are under 40 years of age on 1^st January 2012, whilst the Business Person of the Year award is open to those aged 40 or over.

Matt Wistow, Director of Business Development at Shaw Gibbs, said the following: “I am delighted to once again be involved with supporting this prestigious award that aims to recognise those who have achieved significant success for their organisations. In previous years, we have received a high number of quality applicants covering a variety of business sectors, and I very much look forward to seeing moreof the same this year”.

The 2011 Young Business Person of the Year Award was won by Kelvin Thomas, Chairman of the npower Football League team Oxford United Football Club. The 2011 Business Person of the Year Award was won by Paul Lindley of Ella's Kitchen, a Henley based company with a very innovative approach to delivering healthy food.

The closing date for nominations is 2^nd March 2012 and the announcement of the finalists will take place in early May 2012. The award ceremony will take place on 15^th June at the Oxford Thames Four Pillars Hotel which hosts a gala awards ceremony attended by over 450 representatives from the Oxfordshire business and professional community.
