Shaw Gibbs have taken the decision to ensure the safety and wellbeing of employees and the local community by adding a defibrillator to its office in Summertown, Oxford.
Shaw Gibbs have taken the decision to ensure the safety and wellbeing of employees and the local community by adding a defibrillator to its office in Summertown, Oxford.
The decision was made following careful consideration of the health and safety of staff members and visitors to the office. With over 30,000 people each year experiencing a cardiac arrest outside of hospital in the United Kingdom, the availability of a defibrillator can make the difference between life and death.
The life saving device is also registered with on The Circuit – the national defibrillator network and is connected to South Central Ambulance Service. This means during office opening hours, the public or ambulance service can come and request to use it.
