Financial reporting, management accounts, management of the  finance function for the Shaw Gibbs practices

Alison trained in practice to become a Chartered Accountant and subsequently spent several years working in industry for businesses within both the Publishing and Retail sector prior to joining Shaw Gibbs in 2005.

Commercial acumen, attention to detail and the implementation of robust financial controls are key to Alison’s role within Shaw Gibbs. Alison believes in a structured and hands-on management approach to ensure the businesses’ internal divisions are provided with accurate and timely management information.

An enthusiast of technology and keen to see advances in IT assist with the automation of processes to streamline systems, Alison embraces change and is always ready for a challenge.

Alison loves to socialise with friends and family and spends many an hour at the local gym. She also has a keen interest in skiing. Having studied psychology to AS level she intends to one day achieve her ambition and complete a psychology degree. A music fan who has attended Glastonbury Festival for the last 3 years (admittedly in a camper van), Alison has a real passion for living life to the full.
