David joined Shaw Gibbs in 2011 following 21 years advising companies and their owners on tax issues. This included a 6-year period as an Inspector of Taxes in the South West.  

David now specialises in providing tax advice to businesses, whether based in the UK or overseas His expertise encompasses a range of topics including optimising business performance, devising corporate and group structures, profit extraction and remuneration planning, offshore residential property ownership, business and employee expatriation and R & D tax credits.  David has a PhD in immunology and loves to work with businesses in the clinical, bioscience and Intellectual Property (IP) based sectors!

Some of David’s interests include salmon and coarse fishing and aiming for his Private Pilot’s Licence by flying a light aircraft.
