Mark joined Shaw Gibbs from Wise & Co in 2023 where he had started as a trainee in 1987 and became a Partner in 1998.  Mark is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has been a Responsible Individual for statutory and other audits for over 25 years.

Mark’s portfolio of clients includes owner managed businesses and UK subsidiaries of multinational groups.  He also has specialisms in the charity and not for profit, and legal practices sectors. 

Over the years he’s built up extensive experience of working with schools – both independent and academy status – and other educational organisations. He brings highly comprehensive knowledge of their accounting requirements, which his clients find very valuable. Mark has also advised charities at both local and national level as well as many non-profit organisations. 

Mark acts for several legal practices and therefore has a great deal of experience of Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules. He maintains a practical approach to problem solving and understands the specific issues affecting legal practices.

Outside work Mark enjoys swimming, going to the cinema, walking and spending time with his family and his dog, Alfie.
