We have a new opportunity for an Accounts Manager to join our growing Oxford team. This is a full-time permanent position offering hybrid working, three days in the office and two days working at home, and flexible working options (flexing your hours on different days).

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and implement Accounts Workflow Procedures in relation to all aspects of accounts preparation, ensuring team do the same and standards are maintained at a high level
  • Manage incoming accounts jobs to ensure that resources are available to meet client’s accounting deadlines and match internal resources available. Highlight, in advance, any resource gaps and make the necessary recommendations to fulfil work requirements
  • Oversee and review workflow preparation of statutory accounts (primarily FRS105 and FRS102 1A) from both computer and manual records
  • Report to Directors directly, ensuring queries are cleared and exceptions/points of note are communicated to Directors for client communications
  • Work with Seniors to liaise with clients to ensure work is planned efficiently and necessary documentation is obtained
  • Specifically manage allocated accounts assignments
  • Assist the Technical Director with the development of the firm’s technical standards
  • Capital gains tax computations
  • Corporation tax computations and returns

About You

  • ACCA / ACA qualified
  • Strong UK practice experience with 2 years post qualification
  • Previous line management experience
  • Financial Reporting – UK GAAP experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and client management skills
  • Able to produce high quality work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player
  • Confident, positive, professional and can-do attitude
  • Strong IT skills, specifically Excel and able to pick up new IT packages very quickly
  • Create a positive impression with clients and staff
