Audit Assistant Manager - Farnham or Basingstoke

We have a new opportunity for an Audit Assistant Manager to join our growing team. This role could be based in either our Farnham or Basingstoke office. If you are based in either our Farnham or Basingstoke office, you will be required to travel to our Oxford office for team meetings and social events. This is a full-time permanent position offers hybrid working and flexible working options (flexing your hours on different days to suit your lifestyle).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and apply your technical and commercial knowledge to provide expert advice and exceed client expectations
- Manage a diverse portfolio of clients and becoming their primary point of contact. Your portfolio will consist of both new and established clients and you will be encouraged to develop further revenue streams within it as well as helping to bring in new clients to the firm.
- Responding to ad hoc client queries
- Lead and manage audit assignments to completion, manage people and delivery of the assignment, budgets, billing recovery and client engagement and satisfaction
- Provide support on tenders, proposals and other business development activities to promote Shaw Gibbs and develop your profile externally
- Contribute to the management of the audit team, audit procedures and, more widely, to the whole compliance team
- Line manage a small number of more junior team members
- Consider technical audit and accounting developments and provide training to ensure the team are updated so that high standards are maintained

About You
- ACCA / ACA qualified with at least 1 year PQE in practice
- You will have at least 1 years UK practice experience
- Previous supervisory experience
- Previous line management experience is desirable
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and client management skills
- Able to produce high quality work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player
- Confident, positive, professional and can-do attitude
- Strong IT skills, specifically Excel and able to pick up new IT packages very quickly
- Create a positive impression with clients and staff
