Bookkeeper- Oxford

Are you an experienced Bookkeeper looking for a role within an innovative and highly successful Accountancy Practice?

We are currently looking for a Bookkeeper to join our growing Outsourcing division in our Oxford office. 

We are flexible on hours - you choose the hours - this role can be full time or part time.

The role

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Building productive working relationships within Shaw Gibbs and with clients
• Using a variety of accounting software packages including Xero, QBO & Sage
• Preparing management accounts and completing VAT returns
• Processing sales and purchase invoices, receipts & payments
• Preparing opening balance journals
• Reconciliations
• Dealing with financial paperwork & filing

About You

You must have at least 3-4 years’ experience of working in an accountancy practice and be AAT qualified/part qualified or qualified by experience. You will also have:

• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Advanced IT skills, specifically Xero and able to pick up new software packages very quickly
• A positive, confident and proactive attitude
• Ability to prioritise and meet tight timeframes with high quality output
• Enjoy working as part of a team and self-motivated
• QuickBooks Online, Sage and CCH experience would be an advantage
