Clients & Markets Senior Executive – Farnham and Basingstoke

We have several offices in Central and Southern England and have ambitious plans to expand our business. To support the organisation’s growth, we have created a new opportunity for a Clients & Markets Senior Executive to join our Farnham and Basingstoke teams. Ideally based in Farnham, this is a permanent full time role with hybrid and flexible working options (flexing your hours on different days to suit your lifestyle).  

Reporting to the Associate Director – Clients & Markets, your role will be to provide a proactive, efficient and high quality service.     

Key Responsibilities

  • Build a network of connections who have the capacity to refer work or to work in collaboration with
  • Spot market opportunities to create content/campaigns and to introduce new collaborations for the firm with the aim of retaining the existing client base and attracting new business
  • Provide an advisory role to all fee earners in relation to generating leads, management of the pipeline and best marketing/BD practices
  • Management of the end-to-end bid process for your regional offices
  • Provide representation at external meetings and networking events
  • Produce agendas and reporting for business development meetings which engage and inform
  • Distribute new client enquiries received by email/web/phone calls to the appropriate Division lead and follow-up/send a holding email as required
  • Provide induction meetings with new starters as necessary
  • Maintain brand continuity and equity

What we are looking for

We would like to hear from you if you:

  • Are fully CIM qualified
  • English and Maths GCSEs at grade 5 or above (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years’ experience in marketing within a corporate environment
  • Designing and delivering successful initiatives and campaigns including the execution of top-notch events and content creation
  • Ideally have experience of:
    • Professional services marketing/business development
    • Marketing planning and budgetary control
    • CRM databases
    • Working with external creative agencies
  • Have strong attention to detail, numeracy and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills – written, oral and interpersonal
  • Are outgoing and self-confident
  • A self-starter and a team player
  • A creative flair
  • Self-motivated and able to manage own workload, prioritising multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Are prepared to travel between the Farnham and Basingstoke offices and to other offices within the Shaw Gibbs Group if required
