Combined Administrator/Cashier - Oxford

A new exciting opportunity has arisen within our Insolvency division which would suit either an experienced candidate who may already have some relevant cashiering/general administration experience, or a trainee starting their career who is eager to learn and develop in this varied, challenging and hugely rewarding role.

This is a full time permanent position.

The role
• Building productive working relationships within Shaw Gibbs and with clients as required
• Running the cashiering function including making payments, postings of receipts and payments to Insolvency specific software and bank reconciliations
• Supporting the team with general administrative tasks
• Attending staff meetings and taking notes and preparing paperwork
• Assisting with setting up new clients on our software
• Making initial client appointments and obtaining Identification documentation
• Supporting the team with client related tasks e.g. drafting letters and standard documentation, dealing with telephone calls from creditors, clients and other parties, data entry on specialist insolvency software, assisting with reports to creditors and despatch out in post/uploading to online portal
• Organising coffees/lunches/presentations with contacts and clients for the Insolvency Practitioners
• Keeping clients/other parties up to date with progress, advising them of deadlines
• Developing and applying your technical knowledge through on the job training and formal qualifications

About You
We would like to hear from you if you are a quick learner and can tick all of the below:
• Educated to A Level or possibly higher e.g. degree
• May have had some previous experience within a similar role in a cashiering function
• Possibly AAT qualified or part qualified
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong IT skills, including Word, Excel & Outlook
• Flexibility
• A positive, confident and proactive attitude
• Ability to prioritise and meet tight timeframes with high quality output
• Enjoy working as part of a team and self-motivated
