Corporate Finance Manager

Shaw Gibbs is a leading independent accountancy, corporate finance, financial services and insolvency practice with offices in Oxford and London’s West End. We have a strong focus on using technology to give our clients insight and information to help them make decisions on how to grow their business. We are growing rapidly and are currently recruiting for a Corporate Finance Manager to play a key role in developing our Corporate Finance division.

The Role

The Corporate Finance Manager will provide full assistance at a senior level to the Director and Head of Corporate Finance and other senior members of the practice on corporate finance cases. This is a very varied role and will include leading financial due diligence projects, valuations, bank lending reviews and various Transaction Support Service projects from initial engagement through to completion. In addition to this, the Corporate Finance Manager will also have full responsibility for managing Lead Advisory projects including raising equity finance and guiding clients through acquisitions, sales and mergers.

You will play an active role in business development through networking and assisting with marketing activities, developing pitches and creating new opportunities for the Corporate Finance Department

As we are expanding our corporate finance offering in both our Oxford and London offices, this role can be based in either office.

About You

You will be:

  • ACCA or ACA Qualified
  • At least 3-4 years’ experience within an Accountancy practice
  • 2 years’ experience in corporate finance
  • 2 years of due diligence experience
  • Good understanding of how corporate deals are structured
  • Able to work independently
  • Proven communication skills, verbal and written
  • Fully fluent in English, verbal and written
  • Strong IT skills, specifically Excel
  • A positive, confident and proactive attitude
  • Create a positive impression with clients and staff
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise and meet tight timeframes with high quality output
  • Enjoy working as part of a team and self-motivated
  • Able to work within procedures on job aspects which will deal with facts, standards and quality
