Group Management Accountant – Oxford

We have several offices in Central and Southern England and have ambitious plans to expand our business. Due to our team in Oxford expanding, we have a new opportunity for a Group Management Accountant to join our Finance team. This role will be a full-time permanent position based in Oxford with travel to other locations. We offer hybrid working (you can work from home up to 2 days per week if you wish) and flexible working options (flexing your hours on different days to suit your lifestyle). You will report to the Finance Manager who in turn will mentor and help develop you.

The role
Your key responsibilities will involve:
- Manage the day to day bookkeeping with monthly management accounts and reporting to meet the required deadlines
- Help manage the day to day bookkeeping
- Visit offices within different geographical regions to ensure KPI’s are being achieved and assisting with their management accounts where necessary
- Prepare and process payments for authorisation
- Management of bank accounts including reconciliations
- Carry out quarterly VAT returns for review
- Assist with year end audit procedures
- Responsibility for supporting the full range of finance department activities, including accounts payable and credit control
- Support the Finance Manager with any ad hoc tasks as required

About you
We would like to hear from you if you have a minimum of 2 years UK experience in either practice or industry and are part way through studying towards an ACCA or ACA or, at least qualified AAT, and you also have the following:
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Self-motivation and pride in meeting targets
- Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
- Full driving licence with ability to spend some days at other locations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good working knowledge of MS Office especially MS Excel
- Able to work under pressure in a fast paced team
- A background in professional services would be ideal but not essential
- English & Maths GCSE or equivalent
