Personal Tax Adviser (part time)

Oxford Office, 22 - 30 hours per week

Are you a self-motivated Personal Tax Adviser with at least practice 2 years’ experience looking for a job with interesting client work in a growing entrepreneurial firm bursting with talented staff you could learn and develop from?

Aimed primarily at supporting the SME sector we offer excellent service and an outcome focused approach to all of our assignments. 

We are experiencing growth both in our London and Oxford offices and are now looking to appoint an experienced part time Personal Tax Adviser into our Oxford office to support the expansion of the business. 

The part time Personal Tax Adviser role will service a wide variety of personal and business clients. You will be encouraged to attend client meetings and have regular contact with clients to help strengthen the relationship and to ensure that clients are receiving the full range of services the firm offers. You will work with interesting clients from different industry sectors such as property, advertising and PR, and these will include sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and groups. 

You will be responsible for managing a client portfolio, tax return and P11D compliance, advisory work and supporting internal Business development activities.

To be considered for this new position, you must have a minimum 2 years’ relevant experience working within a personal tax practice environment and have excellent customer service focus. You will be a strong team player and have a confident, assertive, positive, can-do attitude and professional manner.

Using a variety of accounting software packages including CCH, Protax and IRIS, you will:

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Complete all work to the firm's compliance and quality standards.
  • Manage your own portfolio of between 150 – 250 clients and be main point of client contact.
  • Prepare and issue bills at month end.
  • Attend client meetings
  • Ensure that continuing professional development is undertaken as appropriate.
