Businesses that are forced to shut due to COVID-19 will now be able to claim up to up to £1,500 per property every three weeks.

COVID-19 Advice for business - Grants for businesses affected by local lockdowns
Businesses that are forced to shut will now be able to claim up to up to £1,500 per property every three weeks.
The Treasury has declared that larger businesses will receive £1,500 every three weeks they are required close and small businesses will receive £1,000 every three weeks .
How will my business be eligible?
- Businesses that are forced to shut because of new lockdown rules in a high incidence area will be able to apply for the grant. Although businesses that have been closed because of national rules such as night clubs, will not be applicable
- Smaller businesses with a rateable value of less than £51,000 or which rent a property or have annual mortgage payments of less than £51,000 will be eligible for the £1,000 grant
- Larger businesses with a rateable value of more than £51,000 or which rent a property or have annual mortgage payments of more than £51,000 will be eligible for the £1,500 grant.
Chief secretary to the Treasury Steve Barclay stated “The grants are in place to provide businesses affected a chance to get back on their feet, protect jobs and to keep going in the future”
Local authorities will be responsible for issuing the grants.
