The UK’s community of Certified Financial Planner (CFPTM) professionals has come together to offer their advice pro-bono in a series of money guides for the consumer, published by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).
The guides, which Shaw Gibbs contributed to contain tips from CISI’s CFPTM members on managing finances during the coronavirus pandemic. They have been produced to help all consumers, including those who are employed, self-employed and small business owners financially cope with the pandemic, one of the most difficult periods they are ever likely to navigate for themselves and their families.
The CISI CFPTM money guides are available free for consumers to download from our website:
The CISI’s Certified Financial Planners are part of a global community of over 186,000 professionals who regularly take part in pro bono initiatives, including the annual CISI Financial Planning Week, to encourage and promote consumer awareness on financial planning topics including debt management, preparing for an unexpected financial emergency, home ownership, building savings, investment planning and preparing for retirement.
Ed Gibson, Head of Financial Planning for Shaw Gibbs adds
“I was delighted to contribute to the CISI Money Guides, along with my colleagues in the accounts and business advisory divisions of Shaw Gibbs. We are regular contributors to the pro-bono work CISI offer, including Financial Planning Week which we take part in every year in order to share the life-changing benefits of having a financial plan. These guides contain useful information for handling the current environment and being prepared for the return to normality”
