Ian is a Partner within the tax and business services team. He specialises in helping owner-managed businesses both incorporated and unincorporated across a range of sectors as well as assisting individuals with a range of accounting and taxation issues.

After training as a Chartered Certified Accountant with a local firm in High Wycombe he joined DNG (now part of the Shaw Gibbs Group) in 2002 and was appointed a Partner in 2013. His focus for over 25 years has been on the small business sector and helping clients to grow their businesses.

As well as ensuring that their accounting and taxation requirements are met, issues that Ian regularly discusses with clients include reviewing tax-efficient remuneration strategies and the range of business expenses that can be claimed. Taxation is always changing – advising clients concerning topical queries such as off-payroll working (IR35) or the changes to Making Tax Digital for Income Tax are typical areas that Ian has recently been involved with.

Outside the business he likes to fit in some cycling exercise around his family and is an armchair fan of a range of sports.
