Steve joined Shaw Gibbs from Wise & Co in 2023 where he trained and qualified as a chartered accountant.

Steve’s main expertise lies in mergers and acquisitions, property and VAT. He’s been involved with AIM listing flotations, negotiations with Government body joint venture agreements, venture capital fundraising and the planning and negotiation of management buy-ins and buy-outs. He’s also assisted many clients with the sale of their businesses.

Steve frequently provides advice on the implementation of share option schemes as well as strategic positioning for minority shareholders.

Property is of specific interest to Steve and he has advised many investors and developers alike on VAT planning and recovery, as well as how to dovetail that planning with the building schedule to achieve the most efficient financial outcome. Over and above this, Steve acts for many clients operating in the technology field encompassing software and hardware, digital and telecommunications.
