The Accountancy Age Top 50 + 50 table ranks the top 100 accountancy practices by total UK fee income for the last financial year. Shaw Gibbs are now listed as the 77th largest accountancy practice in the UK - an increase of seven places since 2019.

“The Top 50 + 50 table is based on fee income from the previous financial year so no doubt the rankings will look a little different next year with the uncertain economy we find ourselves in. However, it is fantastic to see our growth reflected in the Accountancy Age table and great to have some positive news to share.

A large part of our recent success has come from our focus on working with owner-managed businesses. Concentrating our efforts on this market means that we are able to offer true expertise in guiding clients through every stage of their business and personal financial-lifecycle. During 2019, we had particular success in building relationships with new clients and enhancing our relationships with existing clients in this space. Clients are looking for service-quality and accessibility with their adviser. We are continuing to see this trend through the Covid pandemic and have found that OMB clients are now, more than ever, reassessing and evaluating the return they are receiving from their accountant-partner.

2020 has been a challenging year for all of us within the profession but I am pleased to say that Shaw Gibbs have managed to continue to shine by keeping our clients at the heart of everything we do.”
