Personal Tax Associate Director – Oxford or London

We have several offices in Central and Southern England and have ambitious plans to expand our business. To support the organisation’s growth, we have created a new opportunity for a Personal Tax Associate Director to join our growing Personal Tax team. This is a full-time permanent position that will be based in either our Oxford or London office. It will also offer hybrid (three days in the office and two days working at home) and flexible working options (flexing your hours on different days to suit your lifestyle).

The Role

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and grow a varied portfolio of personal tax consultancy clients
  • Advise clients on a full range of services including CGT, international tax, property tax, tax returns, trusts & estates, IHT, US tax compliance and fee protection insurance.
  • Review more complex tax returns and computations
  • Increase our Oxford and London client base
  • Play key role in networking and marketing activities to win private client tax consultancy work
  • Work closely with Shaw Gibbs Directors and the corporate tax team to ensure the firm is providing a full range of high quality tax services for our clients
  • Measure and monitor the division’s KPIs
  • Alongside the Personal Tax Director, create and implement a personal tax business strategy, consulting and drawing upon the expertise of the Board
  • Plan and manage the work being delivered by the Personal Tax division
  • Line manage and develop staff in the personal tax team
  • Further develop our relationship with the DFK International network

About You

We would like to hear from you if you have a minimum of 5-7 years UK experience, from either a medium sized or mid-tier firm. You will also have the following:

  • Ideally CTA or ATT qualified
  • Demonstrable experience of personal tax advisory
  • Significant experience in a private client tax team
  • Strong UK Personal Tax knowledge across a wide range of topics
  • Excellent client relationship management skills and proven success in business development
  • Excellent communication skills and confident in leading client/business development seminars
  • Highly commercial approach
